I have been designing and decorating homes since I was in junior high school, drawing floor plans during class and redesigning my room (and both of my sister's).
Each old apartment (and there were several!) I'd lived in over the past decade was left in better condition than she found it; I even ripped up commercial carpet in one afternoon because I was SURE there were hardwoods underneath (I was right).
